Our U12 Baseball National Team has secured a spot in the A-Pool of the U-12 Baseball European Championship in 2025 by winning the B-Pool tournament held in Trnava, Slovakia last week.
In the single round-robin formatted tournament, our U12 Team won all five of their games. They defeated Hungary 10-2, Romania 20-1, Great Britain 3-2, Slovakia 12-5, and Poland 8-7, remaining undefeated throughout the entire tournament.
The new youth program from U12 National Team Manager Jamie Flynn and the coaching staff has clearly paid off. Jamie is a super committed coach and shows that having fun and training hard can go hand-in-hand. A continuous program has been drawn up for the youth, which now involves extensive training during the off-season. Additional tryouts and practice games are also held at various locations throughout the country.
Remarkably, the final selection included 14 boys and 2 girls. “Continuity, structure was looked at and ultimately the best players were chosen. The fact that there are 2 girls in the selection is of course great!”
A top performance by everyone!
On to the European Championships 2025
