Level 1

The Level 1 Umpire Baseball / Softball Course is a one day hands-on introductory course. Participants receive an instruction on all basics through a practical day, condensing the learning experience into a single day.

Level 2

The Level 2 Umpire Course represents a logical step forward from the Level 1 Umpire Course, offering a more in-depth study of umpiring skills and knowledge. Comprising five online sessions, this course teaches participants a comprehensive understanding of essential concepts, giving them the qualification to officiate games up to D2 Baseball or Softball D2.

  • Module 1: Getting Started / Umpiring Basics
  • Module 2: Plate Umpire Basics
  • Module 3: Two Umpire Crew for Beginners
  • Module 4: Game Management Basics
  • Module 5: Miscellanious and Case Plays

It is important to note that the Level 1 course is required to successfully complete the Level 2 course. However, if due to scheduling, a Level 1 course falls after the start of the Level 2 course. We offer the opportunity to register for the Level 2 course and participate already even if you have not yet taken the Level 1 course.

In addition, it is important to note that the Level 2 Umpire course also includes an exam, which participants must pass in order to obtain the Level 2 Umpire certificate. If a participant successfully passes the exam and has also completed the Level 1 course, they are officially recognized as a Level 2 Umpire.
